Gran Turismo 7 Spec III Update Arrives This December with New Tracks, Cars, and Features

Polyphony Digital is far from done with Gran Turismo 7. During the recent State of Play, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that the game’s Spec III update — one of its biggest yet — will launch in December 2025.
The update is also arriving at a special milestone: the Gran Turismo franchise has now sold over 100 million copies worldwide, and Spec III is being released in celebration of that achievement.
What’s Coming in Spec III
Players can expect a wealth of new content and improvements, including:
2 new circuits:
Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve

8 new cars
Including the Ferrari GT3 car and what looks like an F1 90's inspired car

Data Logger feature for in-depth analysis

Collector Level cap increase

Enhanced Weekly Challenges

Plus the below will also come with the update:
Unlimited car invitations in Brand Central
Dunlop tyres added to the lineup
New opening movie
Seasonal Menu Book
Fresh Circuit Experience events
New Scapes curations
Improvements to online races
A New Chapter for GT7
Alongside these additions, Spec III will bring major under-the-hood changes, including an overhauled physics system for a more authentic driving experience. Combined with the new cars, events, and tracks, this update promises to feel like a fresh evolution of the game.
Polyphony Digital notes that more details will be shared as the release date approaches, but fans can already look forward to a content-rich expansion that sets the stage for the next era of Gran Turismo 7.
